If you are self-employed and have applied for sickness benefit, you may have been refused by NAV for the wrong reasons.

This applies to people if they meet the following conditions

• You were self-employed when you applied for sickness benefit.
• You received a refusal decision because you did not pay the tax advance.
• You received the refusal decision before June 1, 2022.

Why has NAV changed its practice?

NAV always makes an overall assessment of whether applicants are sickness allowance have documented loss of income.
