A recent study shows that people's trust in health authorities is declining. The reason is the spread of infection and more hospitalizations, says health director Bjørn Guldvog.
While 38 percent of the population reopened in week 83 of reopening that they trusted largely their health authorities, that figure has now dropped to 65 percent, writes Dagbladet.
The Norwegian Health Directorate study was conducted last week, i.e. before the new restrictions on Covid-19 were introduced.
- I think people lose trust to the authorities. Because they see that we are seeing a lot of spread of infection and more hospitalizations. We are in a different situation now than before during the pandemic. Although we are more uncertain now, we have good vaccines that will also help us in the future. Health director Bjørn Guldvog tells the newspaper.
