As a reminder - the US government blacklisted Huawei - as a result, the company was cut off from the products of partners from the United States, including services directly connected to Google. This is not good news - at the moment the Chinese have until August 19 to say goodbye to the local market. Do users who want to use Google need to sell their device? Turns out not.
Huawei calms down users: "you can use the devices as before ..."
Already have a Huawei phone? Nothing will change for you. The giant even pointed out that current smartphone users and people who are thinking about buying models available in stores have no reason to worry. You will still be able to:
- support all applications and services available today (including Google solutions);
- receive Android platform updates;
- carry out application updates from the level of Google Play.
I'm going abroad. Then what?
Nothing to worry about. The available smartphones will work abroad in Poland as before, and the factory reset will not make users lose access to Google Play or other applications and services. The manufacturer assures - the data is well secured.
Huawei - further plans of the manufacturer
The company's plans in connection with the situation are very conservative. However, he emphasizes that an update to Android Q, which has recently become the brand representative, will soon enter into force: "Huawei will continue to prioritize the development and use of the Android ecosystem." More attention was also paid to AOSP (Android Oper Source Project). Of course, it will probably be enriched with equivalents of Google services.
