Recall that Andrzej Duda signed an amendment to the 500+ Act. From 1 July, the family benefit will also be available for the first child. The amendment to the program stipulates that all children up to the age of 18 will be entitled to the benefit, regardless of the family's income. So what about the Polish diaspora living in Norway? Is 500+ for the first child also entitled in this situation?

500+ for the first child - how to get benefit?

Rules for obtaining 500+ for the first child:

  • first, the application must be submitted in the period from July 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019. It is worth noting that applications for 500+ can be submitted electronically. From July 1, 2019, and traditional from August 1, 2019.
  • if the parent manages to submit the application by August 31, 2019, benefit payment will take place by the end of October 2019.

500+ for the first child - when are the payouts?

"By submitting the application in the period from July 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019, you will receive payments under the new rules along with the compensation from July 1. If applications are submitted after August 31st. Granting the benefit and its payment will take place within 3 months from the date of submitting the application. Important! If the child's parent submits the application after September 30, the benefit will be paid from the month of application with no compensation for the previous months. "

What about BARNETRYGD?

Do you want to take advantage of 500+ and use BARNETRYGD? By downloading  BARNETRYGD for the first child, and for the second and subsequent ones 500+ allowance in Poland, you should unconditionally suspend the benefit in Norway and apply for an allowance in Poland from 1 July 2019.
