Can I get two benefits at the same time?
500+ in Norway and Norwegian benefits. Many people ask whether they can receive both benefits at the same time. Unfortunately not. A person who receives benefits in one country is not entitled to receive another benefit in his country of origin and vice versa. However, before you give up one, check whether you are entitled to the other. Only then act.
The situations vary - for example:
- father children work in Norway, the children are with their mother in Poland, the country that should pay the benefit is Norway.
- the father of the children works in Norway, while the mother in Poland is professionally active. In this situation, the benefit is paid in the country where the children live, i.e. on the Polish side.
