Nav - reducing the waiting time. Let us recall then. In 2017 - equal to two years ago, Nav began quite resilient activities aimed at shortening the time of handling cases. As is very often the case with this type of modernization in state offices, the works resulted in the opposite effect. Unfortunately, today customers observe and feel the increase in the time it takes to process their applications. Is there any chance that the situation will improve? Where is the problem and the problem with the implementation of the change project?

Nav - shortening the waiting time - how does it look in practice?

It was supposed to be colorful and pink, but it is... well... as usual. Nothing has improved, in fact it has gotten worse. For example, time processing applications for the granting of a rehabilitation allowance (arbeidsavklaringspenger AAP), measures to assist in the rehabilitation process in or after a serious illness, extended on average from 10,9 calendar days in 2015 to 17,3 days in 2019. The waiting time for decisions on granting benefits increased by 59%. Going forward by ruthless observation – period processing applications for parental benefits (foreldrepenger) extended from 26,2 to 35,9 days. Not any better the situation looks like this in the case of cases concerning the granting of family allowance (barnetrygd), care allowance (konantstøtte), Injury Benefit, Single Parent Support, Funeral Grants, Supplementary Jobseeker Benefits and Supplementary Retirement Allowance (supplerende stønad).

How long do you have to wait for a decision? NAV on the granting of the benefit?

Nav - shortening the waiting time - changes in regulations and personnel are needed

Unfortunately, this is a multidimensional problem. First of all, the need is great change of regulations legal issues that unfortunately affect the citizens themselves. Sickness benefit, family is usually needed by a given person, family "here and now. Funds to pay bills, child care whether rehabilitation is necessary as soon as possible. It should not be the case that the applicant waits for weeks or months for decisions. Personnel changes are also necessary - the number of full-time positions should increase, which would perhaps (though not 100%) speed up individual works.
