During the Easter period, many people decide to go away from their place of residence. In this way, traffic congestion on the roads may increase, especially on routes leading to popular tourist destinations or family homes. Therefore, it is important to plan your trip well in advance and avoid peak times when traffic is at its busiest.

We can expect a particularly large Easter traffic on Wednesday, April 5, during departures. When it comes to returns, some decide to travel back on Sunday. Therefore, the entire return traffic is spread over two days. However, there is no guarantee that we will miss meeting other drivers in traffic jams, especially at the entrances to large cities.

During Easter, Norwegian hyttis are very popular. Many choose to go on a hytty to spend time with family and friends in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hytty is also a great place for people who like active holidays, e.g. fishing, hiking, skiing. As every year, around 1,5 million people in Norway will go to the cabin during the Easter holidays.

It is worth remembering, however, that during Easter, Norwegian hyttis are very popular, so it is worth booking a suitable place for yourself in advance. Many hyttas are located in beautiful surroundings, far from civilization, which means that getting there can be difficult.

The weather is often changing and unpredictable over Easter, which can impact driving conditions and increase risk road accidents. Therefore, it is worth being especially careful and adapting your driving to the prevailing conditions. Additionally, you must remember to comply with road traffic regulations and road safety rules. It is also worth paying attention to the technical condition of the vehicle and checking its condition before the trip.

Plan your trip in advance

To sum up, the Easter period is associated with greater traffic on the roads, which may affect the comfort and safety of driving. To be as protected as possible, plan ahead, follow road safety rules, and exercise extreme caution.

Dear Travelers. On the occasion of Easter, we would like to wish you wonderful moments spent with family and friends. Don't let this joyful atmosphere accompanying you during Christmas not disturb your vigilance on the road. Therefore, we wish you a safe and peaceful journey, as well as a happy return home.
