Help us increase the use of reflexes
Reflex saves lives, many still do not take it into account. Now the Norwegian Public Roads Authority is asking for help in getting good ideas on how we can encourage more people to use their arm reflexes!
it is National Safety Day. A lot of people probably use their reflexes on the way to work, how often do we do it on a daily basis?
However, the figures show that four out of six pedestrians do not use reflexes when they are in the dark in fall and winter. Many of them probably don't have natural reflexes to use them for safety - having them at home or in their pockets. The challenge is to remember to attach your reflexes when they go out after dark.
Do you have any idea how more people can become more security conscious? Feel free to submit ideas on how to encourage the use of reflections on address [email protected] .
He must change his approach
– I don't think it's because of lack of reflexes. When we hand out materials, most people receive them. But there is often a weak will between having reflexes and actually using them on the road, says Rita Aarvold of Norwegian Roads Authority Public.
It reminds you that reflexes are just as important in illuminated streets. Most accidents happen in cities when crossing the road.
The video below from Safe Movement clearly shows how important it is to use your reflexes. In 2018, thirteen pedestrians were killed in road accidents. Five accidents occurred in darkness and a total of six people died in these accidents.
