On Friday, several gas stations in eastern Norway were selling gasoline for well over NOK 22 per liter for 95 octane.
The largest gas station chain in Norway, Circle K, confirms. Friday prices are at record highs and that it is even more expensive in other parts of the country.
It was the Russian invasion of Ukraine that led to a sharp rise in oil and gas prices, which in turn leads to more expensive gasoline and diesel - also in Norway.
It is not clear why this is the case in Norway, which has deposits. However, you can see that earning money from the war is a price and responsibility of each country. Let's hope it's just a price hiccup as it happened in Poland.
