The Polish Saturday School in Moss started the new school year last Saturday, September 15th. We were at the ceremony and we covered it live. We also made a broadcast from the Erasmus Project for grades 6 and 8. As usual - we were accompanied by Troll Einar!

The Polish Saturday School in Moss not only allows you to learn the Polish language, but also learn subjects in your mother tongue and learn about Polish history, culture and customs. It is located in the Vang Skole building, where classes are held every Saturday.

The beginning of the year

A lot of people came to the celebrations to start the school year - the gym was filled to the brim. The format of the ceremony was purely Polish - after the headmaster's speech, the four students recited a poem about school life. Diplomas were also given to the winners of last year's competitions. The school reports were handed out after leaving the classroom.

Erasmus project in grades 6 and 8

The Polish Saturday School in Moss participates in the Erasmus+ project. The facility cooperates with schools from Spain, Lithuania, Belgium and Poland. Known for ours Radio Wataha Janusz Dziewiątkowski jest nowym nauczycielem od języka polskiego i w pierwszy dzień edukacji przeprowadził zajęcia pt. “Uroczystość Odzyskania Niepodległości”. Lekcje te są typowe dla całego projektu.

First lesson - Erasmus +

Tematem pierwszej lekcji była “Symbolika Grobu Nieznanego Żołnierza. Symbole Narodowe”. Mówiono o sprawach, które dotyczą tożsamości i świadomości Polaków. Poruszone zostały kwestie m.in. dotyczące tego, w jaki sposób należy okazywać szacunek do własnej ojczyzny oraz związków Polish diaspora in Norway with Poland.

At the beginning, it was about who the patriot is and whether it is possible to be one outside the borders of one's homeland. As it turned out - you can, only the understanding of this word differs from the interpretation in Poland. A patriot abroad is a person who promotes Polishness, admits to being Polish and talks about it. The key issue is also taking into account the patriotism of other countries and this is what distinguishes it from nationalism.
