An invisible plane from Airbus. An airbus and an invisible plane. The disappearance of radars that monitor air traffic is possible only thanks to the use of stealth technology. Airbus presented the results of 12 years of work on the creation of the "invisible plane". No one, for these 12 years, was provided with information about the work carried out by the company. What do we know more? For sure it will be a huge breakthrough in technology.
Invisible plane from Airbus - how does it work?
The Airbus company organized the conference for only a few dozen journalists. However, it did not take place in any room or stage and… .In an airplane hangar. The organizers initially noted that "this hangar does not really exist". Inside there was a plane, which was made in the stealth technology, which reduces the chance of detecting such an aircraft by radars monitoring air traffic practically to zero. Work on the creation of such an aircraft has been carried out by Airbus since 2007 and all the time it was kept under the highest secrecy. Is the machine, the so-called The "invisible plane" created by Airbus to go wherever? Unfortunately, this is not possible. An airplane built by the company will never take off. This is only a model to demonstrate the capabilities of stealth technology.
The invisible plane from Airbus is really huge!
The machine presented by Airbus is a colossus. Its dimensions are 12x12 m, and the whole thing weighs nearly 4 tons. So how is it possible for such a huge plane to go unnoticed by air traffic radars? All this is possible thanks to the material from which it is made. Its main property is that it reflects the radar waves, making it "invisible". In addition, the technology used in the construction of the aircraft minimizes the emission of electromagnetic waves, which also helps to reduce the detection of such a machine by radars. At the conference, however, the details of work on another model of the aircraft, also "invisible", were revealed. Together with Dassault, Airbus is trying to create a fighter plane that will be presented in 2026. Forecasts are that these planes would not enter active service until 2040 and would replace the Eurofighter Typhoon.
