Students can participate more fully with classroom classes

The coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions introduced as a result of it particularly affected children and adolescents. Now it is possible for students to participate in full-time classes at universities, colleges and post-secondary schools. While maintaining the increased sanitary regime. It may consist, for example, in the use of additional measures ensuring a distance of at least one meter between people, wearing masks, appropriate arrangement of seats in stationary lectures and closing canteens.

Greater availability

The opening of the campuses also means access to reading rooms and libraries while maintaining the sanitary regime. Larger lectures and assemblies should still be avoided. Teaching can be conducted in smaller groups as it is easier to organize according to the sanitary regime. In the case of municipalities where restrictions are particularly increased due to the epidemiological situation, other municipal rules may apply.

- I am particularly pleased that students can already participate in full-time classes at universities, colleges and post-secondary schools. It has been a difficult year for many students, and social interaction is important to reduce loneliness and isolation. I hope that this easing of restrictions will brighten up a bit the student life for many people, said Minister of Science Guri Melby (V).

Sporting events for children youth

It is important for children and adolescents to participate in extracurricular activities. Competitions are an important motivating factor for children and young people practicing sports. Children and adolescents under twenty years of age they can currently participate in extracurricular activities as normal. Now it will also be possible to organize sports events and competitions for children and youth, which will bring together participants from the same commune.

This type of events can be attended by up to 50 people indoors and up to 200 people outdoors. In the case of contact sports such as football and handball, all competition participants must come from the same commune. If children and teenagers train at a club in another commune, will be able to participate in competitions with this club, provided that the epidemiological situation allows it. In sports in which competitors do not come into close contact, such as skiing, participants from a given sports district or region may gather for competitions.
