. The general tax return for 2018 shows that employees, retirees and owners of private companies paid a total of NOK 514 billion in income and property taxes. 332 companies paid a total of NOK 000 billion in tax (excluding tax revenues from oil activities). A total of 85 million salary earners, pensioners and individuals were taken into account in this year's tax return. 3,2 paid a residual tax of NOK 800 billion.

“Most people file correctly, paying the correct tax throughout the year. If you received residual tax or tax relief, it is because your financial situation was different from your estimated tax basis. Tax lists available from November 5 on the website skateetaten.no. The available search engine covers the net amounts - both the income of companies and individuals.

More and more people use tax lists. A year ago, there were 1,6 million searches, spread over 482 unique logins. This is more or less the same as the year before. By comparison, in the year before search logging was introduced, 000 million searches were spread over 16,5 unique logins. In the last year, 927 people checked the data.

“Norway has a long tradition of making tax lists open. We believe that making your income, property and taxes public helps to strengthen confidence in the tax system. Today's system properly connects the public and private spheres of companies and citizens. " - says tax director Hans Christian Holte.
