Deferring the payment of invoices - an opportunity for those in debt! Norwegians live on credit. We borrow more and more, and later, unfortunately, we have a problem to pay it back. The new Vipps application comes to the rescue and can make life easier for many Norwegians. What will the new facility be like? What will be the rules for using it? Today we present the advantages of the new discovery in banking.
Deferred payment of invoices - how does it work?
From now on, you will be able to decide whether you want to pay the invoice (for electricity, gas, services) immediately or to postpone the payment. Thanks to the Vipps phone application - the bank will provide you with a loan and you will pay the invoice amount at a later date (30 days). The word invoice amount is significant here because the loan amount cannot be higher than the price on the specific invoice the loan relates to. The Vipps application includes, among other things, invoice payments, payments in online stores, and soon also small and large payments in the store using QR codes at the checkout. The debt limit is NOK 10. Life is different, and thanks to this solution you will be able to cover, for example, unexpected expenses such as a visit to the dentist.
“We believe that the possibility of deferring an account with Vipps is helpful for people with a temporary financial need. For users who do not have the money to pay the invoice. But it's a short-term problem for them. " = says Communications Director Hanne Kjærnes of Vipps.
Deferring your invoice payments - borrowing has never been so easy
If you want to postpone the invoice, just install the application and go through the short applicant verification process. After answering a few questions, the loan is granted. For now, the service is available to owners of mobile phones with Apple iOS. From next year, it will also be available for Android.
The solution appeared in Norway at a very significant time, when there is a heated debate over the constantly growing consumer debt in the country of the fjords. Recently, we have discussed this difficult topic in our text:Household debt in Norway. We hope that the application will help at least to some extent to fight this problem, a significant problem.
