We're visiting Norway: get to know Stavanger. Will you let yourself be barred?

Do you remember "Midnight in Paris"? A stroll through the enchanted streets of Stavanger is just as successful in transporting at least one century back. Narrow alleys, snow-white houses, small but charming gardens create an atmosphere of peace, so different from the hustle and bustle of big cities. The walk takes place once along a stone path, sometimes along an old wooden footbridge, and then it starts climbing up. Slowly, without rush, in the company of other, equally dreamy tourists. By the way, you can visit the Hermetic Museum, which has dominated… all kinds of cans, with a can of sprats at the forefront. A very original place!

Stavanger and a visit to the fjord.

Breathtaking majestic fjords ...

And once you've targeted the nostalgic and majestic fjords, you'll be sure to hit the aforementioned Preikestolen rock, 604 meters directly above the Lysefjord. You can choose an organized trip, the cost of which is around 240NOK / person, or you can plan the trip yourself. For this purpose, you need to look for a bus that will take you to the very route to Preikestolen. On the spot, you need to find an information board, and then more in the same style. However, you should rationally estimate the time that will be needed to complete the route. If you are not an athletic mountaineer, it is worth adding a little more to the number on the board.

What's worth seeing in Stavanger?

Mountains and sea - Stavanger has something for everyone!

Other attractions in the Stavanger area include the Mannfossen waterfall and the Frafjord valley. Unfortunately, it is impossible to get there by public transport, you will need a car or the kindness of other motorists. In Fjaford you can admire the mountains that seem to rise out of the water, beautiful green hills and charming holiday homes equipped with spa services. The road to Manfossen with chains, ladders and steps will provide many aesthetic impressions, not only visual, but also auditory. The humming water falling from as much as 92 meters will remain in your memory for a long time.

We're visiting Norway: get to know Stavanger and its surroundings. A visit to Sandness ...

Those who prefer the sea to the mountains should visit the charming town of Sandness, where you can relax and look at small fishing boats, or at the sandy and vast beach of Sola. It is extremely popular with all kinds of surfers. For dessert, it is also worth seeing the stone houses in Kleppe, which perfectly fit into the Nordic landscape.
