. The police and the Norwegian Prison Service published a disgraceful report. It concerns evasion of serving sentences for offenses and paying fines. Unfortunately, these are not statistics that put our compatriots in a good light. On the contrary. As it turns out, those at the forefront of the report include emigrants from Poland and Romania. What more do we know? How does this report look in practice? We encourage you to read the text!

. The police are still looking for many people...

Norwegian law enforcement is said to be working very efficiently. However, as it turns out, individual police units - the regional and national ones are constantly looking for many people who are evading punishment. 4 refugees are being looked for. Who are these people? Most of them are convicts who "do not intend" to serve their sentence. There are also people who got out on leave and disappeared - they didn't reappear. Citizens of 83 countries around the world are being sought. Poles are "precursors" when it comes to arrears with the payment of fines. The total amount to be paid is almost 27 million crowns.

Trust in the Norwegian police is declining ...

The problems described above make us lose money trust in the police in Norway. We begin to doubt its effectiveness. In addition - and this is important - we do not feel safe in the country of fjords.

"This is a serious problem that affects the declining public respect for the law and court judgments." - underlines Rita Kilvær, director of the prison service in Norway.

Need to change the law!

Let's summarize. . Changes in the law are needed. Especially regarding the prosecution of foreigners. Today, the regulations are still unclear and complicated. In addition, it would be worth strengthening police structures. Greater number of patrols, emphasis on consistent debt collection. Without a doubt, these issues need to be modified, and not only slightly.
