When I came to Norway, I had a certain opinion in the back of my head, of course. However, I decided to check for myself where the truth lies.

Norwegian - a conflict-free bore?

Stereotypes and habits are inherent in every nation. We, Poles, are of course polite, helpful and resourceful. And what is a citizen of the country of the fjords? Have you ever thought about it?

  1. Norwegians find really boring stuff interesting. It looks like almost everything will count as entertainment to them. Have you seen the Norwegian news? It definitely has nothing to do with Polish TV;) ..
  2. 'Mmm' is not only a reaction to the fact that something is tasty. It's simply a response to everything you say.
  3. Conflict? I do not know. Norwegians have an amazing and sometimes even astonishing ability to avoid disputes. They say they don't like confrontation, preferring to let things go their own way. Maybe we, Poles, should also learn this?
  4. They love nature. Nobody is surprised at that. There is probably no one who will not love nature when he comes here.
  5. They appreciate being Norwegian. And they are glad that they weren't born in Sweden. Why? Ask them yourself!

  6. They love a simple life. Okay, maybe they're going on an exotic vacation, but there's nothing like home. Norway is their mother, no matter where they spend their time.
  7. They are never stressed. You saw it though once a nervous Norwegian? Who is rushing or driving faster than he should? I'll bet you a brown cheese sandwich that in your life... Do you want to anger a Norwegian? Forget it, it's almost impossible!
  8. The Norwegian language doesn't have many words. But it has the important ones, and that's definitely enough.

  9. They are cheerful. The idea of being harsh and unkind is a huge tact. The truth turns out to be completely different. People are smiling and giving advice. And they say hello every time! Have you seen strangers in Poland saying to each other 'Good morning? You immediately wonder if you know this person. Here everyone says 'hei' and the day immediately becomes better.
  10. Sport - a cure for all evil (which is not available here). Imagine this situation. Slightly cool, blonde, curled curls, full make-up, wedge shoes (gentlemen - these are high shoes that came from the ancient Greek theater, I recommend checking the Internet or your beloved's closet) and a leather jacket. I can already hear your laughter... For me it was a completely normal situation, after all, I dress like that every day... But not here. There was no one who didn't look around... For a Norwegian (and a Norwegian woman too), an outfit for many occasions is a sports outfit. A jacket, comfortable shoes and you can conquer the country. Whether it's hearts is an individual matter. Remember that there is no wrong one weather – there are only bad clothes!

Hope now much more than you think!
