Model S will receive 1100 horsepower next year !!!
Tesla is working on new battery technology that will allow the company to produce cheaper electric cars with a greater range.
The new battery will increase range by 56 percent, Tesla CEO Elon Musk promised at a shareholders meeting on Wednesday night.
80 Norwegian miles for a fee
This means Tesla can produce cars that can travel 800 kilometers or more on a single charge.
The information was announced during an event called Battery Day, which was held at the same time as the shareholders' meeting.
Expectations for the batteries were high and the shareholders who showed up in their cars to keep their distance from each other enthusiastically horned the news as the news of the new battery became a fact.
Greater expectations
Investors were not so impressed with what was presented. They hoped Tesla would reveal even greater advances in battery technology.
Tesla shares fell more than 6 percent in trading following a close following Musk's presentation.
This intensified the slowdown that started on Tuesday in regular trading as investors began to prepare for a possible disappointment.
The company has already started producing the new battery, but Musk tweeted on Monday that Tesla probably isn't ready for mass production by 2022.
It wasn't just battery news that surfed at the party. Musk confirms that there will be a completely wild version of the Model S, which makes the crazy driving fashion seem like everyday. It will be nicknamed Plaid and will have three engines, one more than the current model. It should accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 2 seconds, and if that was not enough… Top speed 322 km / h. This will give the S model a podium in the super car class!
The car will arrive next year and can now be ordered from the Norwegian website for just NOK 1.
