The police had to fine a NOK 20 on a man infected with the coronavirus who ignored the isolation obligation and visited stores in Ski in early November.

One afternoon we received news that a man infected with COVID-19 had been observed at a ski resort. This wasn't the first time a man had been on a trip.

We sent a patrol to catch the man. He claimed that he only walked in the open air, but witness testimony and video surveillance observations showed that he had been to several stores and shopped in at least one of them.

When society is now going through one of the biggest crises in the post-war period and people are dying from coronavirus infection, it is disappointing and very serious that some people are deliberately putting others at risk in this way. When you are infected and isolated, it means you stay in your own home, isolated from otherssays Police Chief Rune Albertsen at Follo Police Station.

Let's recall how long the quarantine lasts

Quarantine (both infectious and entry quarantine lasts 10 days). A person under quarantine must provide their place of residence during the quarantine period in order to remain under the watchful eye of the services. Contact with other people is forbidden. It is forbidden to leave the house - not even to the store or to the post office. If we do not have anyone to order purchases in a store or pharmacy, we can go out and take care of only the necessary matters. The most important precautions should then be taken:

  • cover mouth and nose,
  • stand at least one meter away from other people,
  • avoid queues,
  • disinfect your hands after returning to the house / flat.

Any violation of the quarantine of persons not complying with it should be reported to the Police. Taking care of yourself and others should now be a priority.
