Passengers are evacuated after a train breaks the power line between Oslo S and Bekkelaget. The Østfold line is closed between Oslo S and Kolbotn.

- The fire department helps with evacuation. Passengers are evacuated towards Mosseveien. They drive their buses, says spokesman Gunnar Børseth of Bane Nor on Thursday night.

They first reported the incident at 16.37:XNUMX PM. It was a regional train going to Halden that severed the power line.

The Østfold line is closed in both directions and trains from the south turn to Kolbotn, while trains from the north stop at Oslo S.

Børseth says it is still uncertain how long it will take to reopen this episode, but it will most likely stay closed until at least late evening.

- We don't know what the damage entails and how long it will take to repair power line - he says.

In addition to the passenger train, there is another heavy train on the section that is not used for passenger traffic. Attempts will be made to pull the trains out with locomotives.

- They must be removed as soon as possible. This will make it easier to solve the problem, says Børseth.
