Jurek Owsiak officially closed the 29th edition yesterday. Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, dedicated to supporting pediatric laryngology, otolaryngology and head diagnostics. The event was broadcast from a special studio at Plac Defilad in Warsaw and ended with the announcement of the declared amount - PLN 127. Over PLN 495 million of this amount is already in the Foundation's account.

Jurek Owsiak made a specific summary of the action today during the press conference.

The declared sum is PLN 127, at the moment we have over PLN 495 million on our account and we are counting all the time. For this declared amount, we can already implement all the ideas and plans we talked about - the purchase of the most modern medical devices for otolaryngology. We want to be at the forefront in the world league. We can do it. Jurek Owsiak, President of the Board of the WOŚP Foundation, spoke during the meeting with the media.
The final result of the action will be presented in early April
As part of the 29th Final, 26 forms of collection were launched. Some of them, such as sending SMS, collection on Facebook and auctions on Allegro, will continue to work for some time. The final result of the campaign will be presented at the beginning of April, and then large purchases of equipment for hospitals all over Poland will start. In the case of the 28th Final, which took place in January last year, the declared amount was PLN 115, and the difference between the declared amount and the final collection result - over PLN 362 million.

The 29th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity took place on January 31, 2021 and was dedicated to purchases for laryngology, otolaryngology and head diagnostics. The collection is also carried out using various electronic channels. The event was accompanied by initiatives organized by local staffs, as well as the 15th run "Count yourself with diabetes", carried out in a virtual form. In Warsaw, the center of events was the TV studio at Plac Defilad, where concerts were held on two stages, including by Enej, Voo Voo, Kwiat Jabłoni i Piersi. The webcast of the event began on Saturday (January 30) at 21:00 with a concert by Piotr Bukartyk and Krzysztof Zelewski and lasted continuously for 27 hours.
