Poland alimony. The problem with the service still exists. Today we will tell you more about the problem of non-alimony in Poland. Despite the fact that alimony has been imposed on many parents (mostly still men), recovery still gives a lot to be desired. Hence, it hits women the hardest. Moreover, some experts believe that it is even a form of violence against them. What changes can help? Do we have any influence on it?

Poland alimony. First of all, a change in law ...

Let's take a closer look at this. Psychologist, president of the Association for the Improvement of Maintenance Matters "For Our Children". Researcher on the problem of non-alimony. He assesses the matter sharply and uncompromisingly:

“By observing the government's actions and examining the causes of non-alimony in Poland, I began to wonder whether politicians and our society actually want the problem of non-alimony in our country to cease to exist. Non-maintenance is violence. Economic violence against the family. I feel that crimes committed against the family are treated leniently. A person who attacked someone on the street or stole a child's wallet containing PLN 40 will be punished more severely. PLN (this is the average alimony debt for one child) than a parent who robs his child without paying alimony - comments the president, adding that the lack of legal consequences for perpetrators of crimes that concern the family is often explained by the low social harmfulness.

Is outdated legislation a problem?

Poland alimony. Reality is changing. Our economic status and salaries are changing, as well as our approach to family and parenthood. The law and regulations should be adapted to the current state of affairs, and in the meantime:

“Meanwhile, the family in our country is still perceived through the prism of the Family Code of 1964. Of course, attempts are being made to amend it. Adapt to today's realities, which are clear. Every third marriage in small towns and villages, and every second in large ones, falls apart. Nowadays, the family looks different than it did 60 years ago and it is high time to say clearly that people have the right to decide to separate, and they have the right to organize the upbringing of children after divorce in such a way that it does not harm them.

Poland: child support from a parent. Joint care for the good of the child ...

It's hard to collect alimony. Or maybe to involve the parent in the care? After all, it is possible when it comes to violence.

“I am also in favor of the child being co-raised by the father and mother after the parents' separation, provided that there are no obstacles to this, e.g. violence from one of the parents, addiction, or a sharp conflict between the parents that prevents communication on important matters relating to the child. In our perception of the family, the woman after separation is always supposed to be a maintenance slave, because the obligation to raise the child is transferred to her. How can I force the father to take care of the child if he doesn't want to?

In conclusion ... commitment to childcare is a priority!

Involvement in child care, without "putting" the entire responsibility on one parent, is a must. Then, with shared care, women could be independent to fulfill their needs. They stopped being treated like “maintenance slaves.”
