Tobacco is to be phased out gradually. In small steps. The changes are to be implemented in several stages:
- gradual increase in the age to buy tobacco,
- reduction of the permissible level of nicotine in tobacco products,
- prohibition of using filters that are not biodegradable,
- introducing a minimum price for cigarettes,
- limited list of places where tobacco can be purchased.
How did you come to that?
The changes that are to come into force are quite radical, but not without reason. The government has confirmed that the purpose of such modifications is to prevent cancer, not to combat it. Will this path be effective?
