Protest in the Sejm suspended
After forty days of fighting for better living conditions for their disabled children, the protesting parents decided to return home. However, the suspension of the protest does not equal its end. Iwona Hartwich, speaking on behalf of the protesters, accuses the ruling party of indifference and contempt towards the weakest social group. He emphasizes that the "ceasefire" is due to concern for the health of the disabled and the increasing difficulties that are given to them in the Sejm, for example by preventing access to showers. Although the action was supported by Janina Ochojska and a participant in the Warsaw Uprising, Wanda Traczyk-Stawska, it was not possible to fully implement all the manifesting demands. According to the parents, the published act is only an "empty shell" to shut their mouths off, but it does not solve the real problems they face on a daily basis.
