At a time when many Poles went in large numbers to relax in the mountains and at the seaside, protests are taking place in European countries. The reason for the protests is the celebration of Labor Day, but also frustration related to restrictions and the ongoing lockdown. Entrepreneurs and employees took to the streets and are also afraid for their future. Where was the most unrest?

Labour Day. Entrepreneurs express their opposition to the ongoing restrictions ...

Many of us spend a long weekend traveling. We wrote about it in the text: Polish picnic. Crowds at the seaside and in the mountains?. At the same time, there is a real wave of protests in many places in Europe (especially in European capitals). The moods are really disturbing.

“The French media report on clashes in the streets of Paris and Lyon. Dozens of people were detained and officers were injured. The participants of the protest were mainly trade unionists and employees of sectors affected by the pandemic. They were joined by anarchists and members of the "Yellow Vests" movement, which sparked a wave of anti-government protests three years ago. Labor Day was also celebrated in large numbers by Berlin residents who took part in the traditional May Day march. The police, fearing an outbreak of violence, mobilized as many as 5 people. officers. However, clashes occurred in Hamburg. There, the police dispersed illegal demonstrations. Water cannons were used and arrests were made. Belgian police dispersed several thousand people who gathered for a "party" in a park near Brussels. It was attended primarily by young Belgians who are against coronavirus restrictions. (source of information: Onet.pl news).

It was a bit calmer (although not without riots) on the streets of London, Istanbul and Turin.

First of all, we want to be able to work!

Labor Day - riots in many regions of Europe. The still ongoing lockdawn frustrates us more and more. Many people close their businesses, businesses fail, a difficult pandemic situation and imposed restrictions mean that many people lose their jobs. Will the rebellion of people who dared to take to the streets change anything? When will we be able to return to normal and just work - caring for ourselves and our loved ones? We believe it will be soon!
