3D printing - the construction industry enters a new stage ...?

Will 3D printing of houses be a new trend that will change the construction industry forever? Probably yes. This opinion is shared among others by the editors of "The Guardian", which was one of the first to write about a Dutch couple that first lived in a fully printed house.

“The retired couple have received digital keys to their apartment because the building - a 94 sq m two-bedroom bungalow - opens via an app. "This is the first house that has been fully approved by the local authority and is inhabited by people who pay for it," said Bas Huysmans, head of Weber Benelux, the company that created the building. Building using 3D printing is done with a large robot arm that releases a special cement, replicating the architect's design. He puts successive layers on the created walls - in this case 24 - to increase their strength. Then windows and doors are installed and finishing works are carried out. " (source: Forsal.pl).
