– Making everyday life easier for entrepreneurs is a high priority of the government. Simplification and digitalization save resources and benefit Norwegian businesses competitive advantage. The creation of a digital company launched today means entrepreneurs can take the time to value creation, rather than dealing with paperwork, says Business Minister Jan Christian Vestre.

The "Digital selskapsetablering" service was created as a result of innovative cooperation public sector with the financial industry - with Sparebank1 at the forefront. Users can now more easily register their business with their online bank - a service they are already familiar with, instead of having to go to Brønnøysundregistrene.

– Digitally establishing a company is one of several simplification projects we are working on. The government will reduce business costs and burdens by 11 billion NOK. This is an ambitious goal and we are working to achieve it by 2025, says Vestre.

– This solution helped me start realizing my dream faster working as a children's physiotherapist and youth. I don't like paperwork. I was told the usual solution could take over six weeks, now it took a few days, says Helene Eide, a physiotherapist from Karmøy who was able to try the solution.

Innovative public-private cooperation

SpareBank 1 collaborated with Brønnøysundregistrene to digitize and simplify the process of launching a new AS. The new solution will provide the user with tips and advice on starting a business. Most importantly, the user will no longer have to register either with the bank or with offices - just register with the Starte AS service on the SpareBank 1 website.

– It is essential that both the public sector and banks take steps to do so larger number of people could be successful in starting and running a business. Reducing the time and effort put into it company establishment is an important factor in achieving success in the start-up phase. For us at SpareBank 1, it was quite natural to help in this regard, says Marianne Bakke, Executive Vice President for BM at SpareBank 1 SR-bank.

– Thanks to our common digital company formation service, we significantly reduce the time needed to set up companies. We seamlessly integrate the service with platforms that users already operate on, such as online banking and accounting programs. This effective cooperation with the financial industry, which high we value allows us to facilitate a faster and simpler process of starting a business. Nettbanken Folio AS has also completed work on the end-user solution. DNB is working on a solution for company formation and Fiken is working on a solution regarding setting up sole proprietorships economic.
