On Friday, more international passengers arrived at Torp Airport Sandefjord than there were at quarantine hotels. This resulted in people being sent straight home.
About one in three passengers who arrived at Torp on Friday were sent home instead of being quarantined at the hotel. In this way, 95 foreign tourists avoided hotel quarantine.
100 people sent home from the quarantine hotel
After placing passengers from two foreign planes in the quarantine hotels, the hotel capacity was exhausted. On the last two flights, passengers did not have enough quarantine hotel rooms.

- On Friday, the number of hotel rooms was fully used. As a result, a decision was made out of 95 people were asked to end the quarantine period in their own home or in a suitable place to stay. This is Thor Henry Thorød, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Advisor for Sandefjord Municipality. County Emergency and Administration Manager Jan Helge Kaiser says Skien, Larvik and Tønsberg must work together to ease the pressure on Sandefjord.

Lawyer against hotel quarantine:
Helge Morset's lawyer believes that persons fined for violating hotel quarantine should refuse to accept the ticket. Rather, they should hear the case in court.
