This is not the first investment of this type in Poland. Similar events have already taken place in our country. However, there has never been a project on such a large scale before. This will certainly be an important facility - not only for the inhabitants of the capital, but also for the whole of Poland. We all know the negative impact climate change has on our planet. Such complexes aim to raise awareness of ecological threats. Especially among young people. How is the work going?

Ecological Education Center at the Młociński Forest in Warsaw ...

The construction project co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management is a great event. Above all, the building is to be fully energy-efficient. From the very beginning, it is supposed to be an example of "green solutions" - also in the real estate industry. The whole area is almost 1000 square meters. Inside, there will be a conference and workshop room for 85 people and 4 educational rooms - two for younger children and two for older students.

“The concept provides for water retention in the form of a rain garden and tight underground tanks for rainwater used for the green area surrounding the building. Extensive plants, which are easy to maintain and care for, and a gravel cover have been designed on the roof to ensure rainwater retention, ”pointed out Monika Beuth-Lutyk, a spokeswoman for the Warsaw City Hall. (Warsaw Our City).

What is the purpose of the center?

Ecological Education Center under construction. Its purpose is to:

  • constantly raising the level of environmental awareness of the society - students of primary and secondary schools, but also all those who visit this unique place,
  • promotion of the principles of sustainable development,
  • expansion of knowledge in the field of environmental protection,
  • expanding the publicly available knowledge about the forest environment and the proper functioning of the forest ecosystem and the entire forest management,
  • impact on the continuous building and support of pro-environmental behavior of the general public, including children and adolescents,
  • social activation - building a civil society that wants to protect the environment,
  • emphasis on environmental education,
  • building educational facilities - on the local, national and global arena,
  • raising awareness of the role that forests play in urban life.

To sum up. We keep our fingers crossed for the investment! We are convinced that it will bring a lot of good to all of us and our planet.
