4300 workers received money from Nav because they could not cross the border into Norway. The cause is the coronavirus pandemic. Nav had to pay around 200 million NOK.
Employers are required to pay compensation to workers who lose income due to an entry ban. The employer gets it back from Nav.
Nav paid approximately NOK 200 million in compensation to workers
Each the employee received an average of NOK 46. 99 percent of the recipients were men. Most were aged 30-50, Nav reported.
1700 employees are Poles. They received a total of NOK 72 million. Then there are workers from Sweden and Lithuania. They received a total of NOK 56 and 32 million.
- The money must correspond to 70 percent of the sickness allowance. The maximum amount per month is NOK 35. The schedule is valid as long as the entry ban is in progress, informs Nav.
