On Friday morning, gasoline prices in Tromsø reached a new peak. At Best Kvaløysletta, gasoline prices were NOK 19,79 per liter. Almost the same price was at Circle K in Breivika, where the price was 19,77 kroner.

Loud all over the country

Due to the cancellation of the leave, Circle K's press department could not say anything about gasoline prices. However, their competitor St1, serving Shell stations, commented on the whole situation.

- When determining the price of gasoline, 60 percent goes to taxes and fees, 30 percent. is the purchase price of petroleum products, and 10 percent. goes to the distribution network. The reason why gasoline prices are high now is the purchase price. It has to do with supply and demand, and the US dollar is strong right now, says Lillian Aasheim, senior adviser at St1.
