Few of our countrymen, as it turns out, know that a trip to Norway via Sweden is associated with an obligation resulting from the covid situation.

Sweden-Temporary entry ban

Sweden-A temporary entry ban from EU / EEA countries and some other countries has been in force since February. From June 30, Swedish regulations were adapted to the EU regulation on COVID certification. This is related to a ban on entry to Sweden from EU / EEA countries. Unless you can provide a vaccination certificate, certificate of examination, certificate of recovery from COVID-19 or the appropriate certificate. Currently, this regulation applies until August 31, 2021.

What does it mean?

This means exactly that if we do not have a vaccination certificate or confirmed Covid-19 disease in the last 6 months. We must have a negative coronavirus test. Without such a certificate, unfortunately you will not be able to travel to Norway via Sweden. It is also not possible to do such a test at the border in Sweden. If you don't have the test, you can go back to Poland by ferry, take the test and try again trip to Norway by ferry. Many of our compatriots found themselves in such a situation on July 27.07, who unfortunately had to return to Poland to take a test and incur huge costs associated with it. Thanks to Monika for the information directly from the trip. Unfortunately, she had to experience a return to Poland.

Many Poles write on forums: "There is no control in Sweden and the journey is smooth."  This is what happens when there is no control. Where it is, unfortunately the reality is quite different. The obligation to present the test for the unvaccinated in Sweden is maintained until August 31. Of course, you can take a risk, but this is an individual matter for everyone.

Entry from Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway is not subject to any entry restrictions.
