According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, as many as eleven projects across the country will receive tens of millions of crowns each for ecological conversion projects. The projects are intended to increase the reuse of wood and contribute to waste-free construction sites. These projects will increase the profitability of wind energy production and reduce emissions from fisheries and aquaculture.

Here, private business, research and other actors have joined forces to pursue large and ambitious restructuring projects, from very basic research to market-ready solutions, says Trade and Industry Minister Iselin Nybø (V).
Fierce competition and awards which they change and increase the pace of development
The competition for the Green Platform billion was very fierce. 44 project applications were submitted for a total amount of NOK 4,2 billion. The projects were thoroughly assessed by both national and international experts. Norwegian Council Research, Innovation Norway and Siva collaborated on the program.
- We created the Green Platform because we wanted to accelerate the green transition on the way to recovery from the corona pandemic. These awards increase the pace of development and lay the foundations for a more sustainable and competitive business community in the future, says Nybø.

The Green Platform has been strengthened in the revised national budget in 2021. About 125 million NOK, which will be distributed in the fall.
