Half of us will be wearing face masks

If there are a lot of colds, flu and other infectious diseases. Around half of Norway's population will then use face masks to protect themselves or not to infect others.

Apart from the fact that people want to protect themselves and their surroundings. Three out of ten respondents say they will only wear them when instructed to do so by authorities. This is indicated by a survey conducted by YouGov for the pharmaceutical company Farmasiet.

Among the respondents, women declare that they are interested in taking care of others into account. While men are more interested in what the authorities recommend. Also among the elderly (62%) there is a greater percentage of people declaring the willingness to wear a mask for the good of others than among young people (42%).
