Erna Solberg: The government is considering closing the border with Russia

Norway was ready to close its border with Russia in 2015 following an influx of refugees via the Storskog. This is what Prime Minister Erna Solberg says Dagens Naeringsliv .

Taxi driver robbed in Oslo

A taxi driver was robbed Friday night by three or four younger men who threatened with guns. All four also took the car with them. The police were notified of the robbery that took place at Københavngata on Dælenenga in Oslo at 2.30 am. The car was found parked at Tøyen moments later.

At the Hurdalsjøen hotel, negotiations are underway between Ap, Sp and SV on the possibility of forming a majority government. The talks started on Thursday and the three leaders of the parties mentioned were in a good mood on their way to the negotiations.

Fewer speed camera fines

Last year, 65 speed camera fines were imposed. This is 000 less than the year before. A similar decline is expected this year. So far this year, 40 speeding tickets have been imposed. Up to and including August, approximately 629 camera interventions were recorded.

Press conference - is Norway re-opening approaching?

The government will announce a pandemic this afternoon. One and a half years after the closure of the country, the final phase of reopening may come.

There was no information about what the government will announce at the press conference at 12.30 on Friday. But the final phase of re-opening society - which will be introduced when vaccination rates are high enough and pressures on the healthcare system are under control - are inevitable.
