The mayor is counting on clear answers in the Gjerdrum report

Mayor Anders Østensen (Labor) in Gjerdrum says it is important to get an answer to the cause of the disaster.

Report: One-third in the private sector is low-paid

According to a report by the research foundation Fafo, 31,6 percent of private sector workers are considered low-paid. This share increased especially in construction and gastronomy. Low-wage earners are defined as those who earn less than 85 percent of what the average industrial worker earns. Last year, the average was NOK 430. Fafo concludes that between 185 and 2008, there was a slow increase in the proportion of people with low incomes.
