More and more shootings in Oslo - Police concerned

There have been several shootings in Oslo recently. This worries the police.

This was said by head of investigation and intelligence in the Oslo police district, Grete Lien Metlid, during a press conference Friday morning in connection with the shooting in Mortensrud on Thursday night.

- We perfectly understand the reactions to this, added Metlid, but also pointed out that arrests do occur in most cases.

Seven people were shot or killed in Oslo in seven weeks:

On Sunday, August 15, two young boys in a metro car at Skøyenåsen station. One of them was seriously injured. The perpetrator was arrested.

On Wednesday August 25, two men at the entrance to Trosterud. Both people were hospitalized. So far, the police have no suspects in the case.

On Monday, August 30, a twenty-year-old man at Brynseng subway station. Suspect man was arrested.

On Saturday, October 2, a man was seriously injured in Vika Oslo. The suspect perpetrator was arrested on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, October 7, a XNUMX-year-old man is seriously injured after being shot at the Lofsrud school in Mortensrud. On Friday morning, the police had yet to arrest anyone in connection with the case. The investigation is ongoing

- The man is very badly injured. We are now waiting for a message from the hospital. Life-saving measures were taken locally, but as I said, this is very serious. It is very difficult for the family, she continued.

This event took place in a junior high school

Police have been notified of the shooting that took place outside the Lofsrud school in Mortensrud in the Søndre Nordstrand district at 22.22:XNUMX on Thursday night.

Oslo police say they are taking the shootings seriously.
