Tonight, armed police pursued a person who robbed a gas station in Trondheim. Late Monday evening, police in Trøndelag were notified of a robbery on a YX-7-Eleven near Rosendal.
On Monday evening, the police posted a post on Twitter that they were armed and going on a mission. The policemen quickly showed up at the scene of the robbery and were looking for a suspected thief who, unfortunately, escaped.
In a new Twitter post, police say no one was hurt in the robbery. Operations Manager Roger Mogstad tells VG that the police see the situation as a threat. Fortunately, no weapons have been sighted, but this is not something that the police are ruling out. The chase continued with several police crews and dog patrols, but so far no one has been arrested for the robbery.
Mogstad says the police have a description of the suspect, plus they have surveillance footage that is currently being analyzed. All in all, technical findings were made on the spot and just before 6 o'clock on Tuesday, Roger Mogstad concludes that active searches are complete. Accordingly, the case has now entered the investigation phase.
