, a man was taken to hospital after being shot in the stomach on Stovner in Oslo on Monday evening. He is the latest victim in a series of shootings in the capital. The police were notified about the incident at 21.18:XNUMX p.m. on Monday evening.

Shooting on Stovner

- We have been notified that the person was shot near the shopping center on Stovner. We sent many police units to the scene. We are currently in the search for the perpetrator, says Sven Christian Lie, Operations Manager for Oslo Police.

According to the police, the injured man is a young man who was shot in the stomach. No one left yet detained in this case, in addition, it is also unclear how many perpetrators and people were involved in the shooting.

Witnesses say several people were involved in the incident, but police continue to establish this. Officers work in two areas, the first where the injured person was shot, and the second where they were found. Both of these areas are secured and an investigation is ongoing at both sites.

– The preliminary investigation is on on the right track, says Sven Christian Lie.

On Monday evening, both police helicopters and dog patrols arrived at the scene. However, the helicopters were withdrawn from action due to weather conditions. The shot man was taken to the hospital. He is known to be conscious, but his specific state of health is unknown. Police are now confirming that the shooting took place at the Fossumveien underpass.

"As the current investigation confirms, the actual shooting may have taken place in the underpass, and the victim went to the mall by herself," says Operations Manager Tor Gulbrandsen.

The underpass that is right next to the police station on Stovner is blocked.

Lots of shootings in Oslo recently

There have been numerous shootings in the capital in recent weeks and months, and about ten people have been shot in just over two months. In early October, 20-year-old Hamse Hashi Adan was shot dead at the Lofsrud school in Mortensrud in Oslo.

Police earlier this month expressed understanding to Oslo residents that people are worried about the frequent shootings. Officers say they take any shootings very seriously, but see no connection between them.
