In the third quarter, Norwegian made a profit before tax of NOK 169 million. For the same period last year, this amount was minus NOK 980 million.
Norwegian has gone through a difficult period after the pandemic, but now passengers seem to be returning.
Nearly 2,5 million passengers traveled from Norwegian in the third quarter, compared with around a million in the same period last year.
According to the company's quarterly report, the company achieved a pre-tax profit of NOK 169 million in the third quarter compared to minus NOK 980,5 million in the same quarter last year. Operating revenues totaled NOK 1,9 billion, up from NOK 1,3 billion last year.
Improvement for Norwegian
- The results for the third quarter clearly show that the actions we have implemented to secure the company's future. By reducing debt and financial obligations while improving cost-effectiveness, they were successful, says Norwegian CEO Geir Karlsen.
Operating profit ended the third quarter at minus PLN 296 million. Despite operating deficits, this is a solid improvement compared to the same period last year. At the time operating loss amounted to 2,8 billion NOK.
