An armed robbery on a jeweler in Oslo

Oslo police are looking for the perpetrator after a goldsmith in Maridalsveien was mugged with a gun-like object on Tuesday afternoon.

- A person was reported who was in the store and had an object that resembled a pistol. The perpetrator fled minutes before our arrival at the scene, says Police Operations Manager Line Skott to Avis Oslo .

The search operation continues. Police are looking for the perpetrator in nearby areas using police dogs and a helicopter.

The report of the robbery was received by the police at 13.42:XNUMX PM on Tuesday afternoon.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery. It is also unclear whether the perpetrator took any valuables with him during the robbery attempt.

- We have a relatively good description of the perpetrator and secured a video from the scene, you can see the person in question on the material, but we will not reveal it now, says Skott.

There is no information that the perpetrator was masked during the robbery.

Forensics scientists are on site investigating. Additionally, witnesses are questioned.
