The government of Støre does not use professional advice and the coronavirus strategy seems unclear and inadequate, says Erna Solberg. He asks Støre for a position on this matter with the Storting.

- The numbers are now higher than ever. We have been prepared for higher infection rates and more hospitalizations, but what is happening now exceeds all previously predicted norms, says a conservative leader.

On Tuesday, a letter was sent to Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Labor) asking him to come to the Storting and clarify the matter.

Among other things, he criticizes the fact that the government allows entry from all countries without being quarantined.

- What they do is very trust-based. I am not saying that this is wrong, but the Storting should be made clear about the reasons for the choices they have made. Also the type of strategy they have. "We already have some experience with trust-based operations at the border," he says.

He emphasizes that conservatives have no alternative recipe.

"But we're a little surprised that they don't follow the advice of the Norwegian Health Directorate, including on face masks," says Solberg.

Among other things, it wants answers to what the government thinks about the current pressure on hospitals.

Støre himself says he has already taken the initiative to report to the Storting and has sent a letter on the matter on Tuesday.

– We are closely monitoring the situation Norwegian Directorate of Health FHI and we have constant contact with municipalities, he says.
