Illness Benefit - The employer will only pay you for 5 sick days

The government reduces the employer's liability for sick pay from 16 to five days and continues the compensation program until January 1.

- Usually employers have to pay the first 16 days, now only five, if it is related to the coronavirus. From the 6th day, the responsibility of paying sick pay is assumed by the state, says Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (Sp).

"Culture, volunteering and sport, which caused much unrest during the pandemic, will continue their safety plans until summer." Finance minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (Sp) said at a press conference on Thursday.
