Two people were hospitalized after the Sarpsborg violence incident on Sunday morning, one of them sustained life-threatening injuries. Two men are accused of attempted murder.
- The victim was admitted to the hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries. The wounds were probably stabbed, says v TV 2 Police Lawyer Jan-Thomas Lunde of the Eastern Police District.
Police informed NTB early Sunday morning that they had received the incident notification just before five o'clock.
Knife, boards and iron bars
The police arrested two men in this case, the course of events is currently unknown.
"This is a confusing situation for us, and the investigation is still in its early stages, where we are still working on finding out who was involved," says Lunde.
Według Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad both the injured and those arrested are 20 years old. Everyone involved appears to be Sarpsborg residents, according to police.
- Now we can say that everything indicates that there could have been more of all participants of vandalism. Knives, boards and iron bars were used as tools of violence, operations manager Gisle Sveen tells the newspaper.

Attempted murder in Sarpsborg
Lawyer Marius Ihlebæk was appointed advocate for one of the two accused.
- I only had a short telephone conversation with him, we have not yet touched upon the question of criminal guilt. We will deal with this later, says Ihlebæk to the NTB.
