The European Space Agency (ESA) wants Norwegian candidates for astronaut positions. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Iselin Nybø, encourages Norwegians to submit their applications.

Who can apply for the title of astronaut?
Citizens from all ESA member countries can apply for a job as an astronaut, and Norway is one of 22 member countries.
Candidates must have background in medicine, engineering, technology or science
To become a European astronaut, you must have a graduate or higher education from a university or in the military. Former European astronauts include scientists, doctors, engineers, physicists and test pilots. New astronauts are not limited to having experience in these professions, but applicants must have experience in medicine, engineering, technology or science.
