According to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI), electricity prices in Norway have soared by 28,3% over the past year. The data published by SSB concern the period from November 2017 to November 2018. Moreover, the average electricity prices in Norway grew by approx. 3,5%.
Not only electricity prices in Norway are up
According to the CPI index, not only electricity prices in Norway soared up. Food is also more expensive. In the period November 2017-November 2018 prices in this segment increased by 4,2%. It is worth noting, however, that a large impact on statistical increase food prices had the market situation mutton. In November 2018 it was reported record big a jump in prices in this segment. Prices for chocolate and related products have also increased, however the vast majority prices of food products did not increase in such a visible extent.

More expensive clothing
We will also pay more, among others for clothing and footwear. Over the course of a yearu this product segment is more expensive by 2,6%. It is worth noting, however, that over October 2018 - November 2018 clothes and shoes became cheaper by 0,7%. It is possible that the trend in this segment will last until the end this year.

More expensive planes
Airline tickets also became more expensive. All over year they are more expensive by 3,5%. Additionally it was noted 0,4% growth in this segment over the month - from October 2017 to October 2018 ticket prices were higher by 3,1%.
