Health Minister Ingvild Kjerkol (Labor) says new national measures on the coronavirus will be introduced on Tuesday. These will be measures that we will notice in our daily life, says Kjerkol.

According to the Minister of Health, new measures to limit contact are now needed.

On Monday, the Minister of Health held a meeting with municipalities on dealing with the pandemic and the need for action.

New restrictions in Norway

Infection rates in Norway's numbers are at record highs high, more and more people are infected with the omicron variant. Health Minister Ingvild Kjerkol (Labour Party) previously said she was concerned about the development of the situation, and this did not rule out tightening measures within the week.

24 COVID-2576 infections were registered in Norway in the last 19 hours. 295 infected patients were hospitalized in Norway on Monday. The number of coronavirus patients is nearing its peak this spring. On April 7, 307 patients were admitted to hospitals.
