Thursday, October 21 at 21:00, Årum Bridge E6 will be closed until Friday morning at 05:30 am.
Traffic redirection
The northbound traffic is merged into one lane in front of the exit flyover, and the northbound traffic is reduced to one lane.
The southbound traffic connects to the southbound flyover and continues through the construction area.
The detour is separate
There will be a detour south via the RV. 22 Sarpsborgveien - fv. 107 Vardeveien - fv. 130 Haldenveien to Solbergkrysset. The detour north is via the RV. 22 Sarpsborgveien - fv. 118 to Lekvollkrysset. The detour is set.
Construction of a bridge over the busy E6 motorway
- Work currently requires part E6 to be closed during construction. The redirection of traffic will take place in several stages and will last until the end of February 2022, says Lars Frode Christiansen.
- The footbridge of the bridge is being built in two stages, we have already completed the first part. The next step is to transfer the traffic to the other side to continue working on the last leg. This will lead to a reduction in bandwidth and challenges for traffic on the E6.
Challenge to ensure traffic at intersections and flyovers
The Norwegian Public Roads Authority is building the new Årum Bridge on National Road 22 at Fredrikstad. The bridge crosses the E6 and is an important road link between Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad. One of the goals is to ensure good traffic flow at intersections to avoid capacity problems on the E6.
Movement on E6 Fredrikstad is put on hold
The new bridge will improve accessibility by public transport on the national road No. 22 and will make it easier to cycle around the area.
