The excitement of this year's Formula 1 World Cup doesn't stop there. On Sunday, Lewis Hamilton won ahead of Max Verstappen in the Grand Prix race, which had to be stopped twice.
It did not completely suppress the drama in the World Cup summary. Verstappen led eight points over Hamilton ahead of Sunday's race in Saudi Arabia. Now the lead has even been equalized to 369,5 ahead of the season's final in Abu Dhabi next weekend.
The penultimate race of the year was dramatic. Much was said in advance about how the Jeddah track was winding, and it wasn't long before the terrifying situations arose.
It all ended with Verstappen having to give up competing for the trophy with Hamilton after being penalized twice, after the drivers bumped into each other twice at the end of the race.
- I tried to do my best. I don't know if the tires lasted completely, I guess I ran out of rubber. But either way, I got second place, Verstappen told the organizer.
Moments earlier, he said the race was "more a time penalty than driving".
