Several people were evacuated when a fire broke out at a nursing home in Sannergata in Oslo on Sunday morning.
- The fire was extinguished but produced a lot of smoke in the room leading to the evacuation of many nursing home residents to a safe area. No injuries have been reported, the operations manager of Tor Gulbrandsen in the Oslo Police District tells NTB.
In update on Twitter police write that four people were taken to hospital because of smoke poisoning.
- Of them, three are employees and one is a resident. Evacuees are now helped to return to their rooms or alternative rooms that were not affected by the fire.
Gulbrandsen reports that a fire broke out in one of the rooms of the nursing home.
- The cause of the fire is still unknown. One possibility may be that the curtain in the room caught fire, she says and adds:
- Considering the damage, it is too early to say whether the apartment is now habitable.
The police got a report at 10.27:XNUMX.
